She Does Digital are a collective of volunteers in and around Leeds who all work in the digital industry in a variety of roles. Since we formed in 2016 we've been working towards our mission to encourage more women to consider and pursue careers in the industry, just like we have! We're on the hunt for a new team member to help us grow our presence via social media channels.
What you'll get from us...
The role will give you the opportunity to gain some direct experience in running social media campaigns for a small volunteer initiative and the chance to make links in the digital industry in Leeds. You'll be joining a team of digital professionals with a wealth of experience to support your development and help you to gain valuable experience.
What you'd be doing....
This role would involve you helping us with the following social media management tasks:
- content planning (optional) - we have plenty of ideas for campaigns and content but would love to involve you in the planning process too
- content creation - supporting the team with content creation in line with our brand values and content plans
- scheduling - helping the team to scheduling posts on our social media channels via our scheduling tool
- community management - replying to mentions and comments about us, reposting content that is relevant and timely around Leeds and the digital industry
In addition, you'd have the opportunity to get involved in the wider She Does Digital initiatives if you'd like to - we have a team meeting every three weeks we'd love you to be part of and could offer you additional exposure to a wider digital remit than just social if it's of interest to you.
